Ms. Vanessa Eddy is a DrPH candidate with a concentration in Emergency Preparedness from the University of Nebraska. Ms. Eddy is out of Washington, D.C. with over twenty years of experience in countering weapons of mass destruction (CWMD) and emergency preparedness with experience at the U.S. Department of Defense of Defense and U.S. Health and Human Services, North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). She works under the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Nuclear CWMD and is the Senior Advisor for Transnational Threats, Counterproliferation, and Biodefense. She lives with her husband, two sons Logan (12), Finn (9), dog Bella, cats Starlord and Gamora, and ferrets Kidder and Sasquatch. She also dabbles in science art and creative science education with her website ARTessorize.com.
Ms. Eddy is passionate about creating tools for government efficiency, including risk mitigation tools, and developing training programs to educate scientists, researchers, policy makers, and general public on current on convergent technologies.

We aim to educate scientists, policymakers, and practitioners, fostering a knowledgeable community dedicated to enhancing technology and safety. Especially among those that may not have general access to those resources.
